What Is Niche Targeted Email Marketing?

Within your Niche Market and amongst the many things you will do to market your products is a targeted e mail marketing campaign. Targeted email is an effective and efficient way to advertise products, services and raise brand awareness.  Through electronic mail you can develop and improve the relationships between your business and its customers.  Plus you will learn how to gain those new sought after customers!

In order to get email addresses of potential niche market customers, businesses can pay a fee to an email broker, use a subscription service, get referrals from existing customers, utilize Pay Per Click (PPC), Cost Per Action (CPA), or use organic Search Marketing (SEO) techniques to gain new member sign ups. Companies should and do use a combination of all these methods.

Target email lists from email brokers can contain hundreds and thousands of e mail addresses from various email list providers. The number of email addresses you pay for may be large, but the extent of the consumer interests tends to be large as well.  This list will not be as tightly focused as your own niche list, thus the success rate of the campaign will likely be lower.  This may be useful tool for test email marketing campaigns as, or after, your business grows.  Many, like me, consider this email technique as Spam.

Opt-In, Opt-Out Email Marketing

If you are not familiar with Opt-In and Opt-Out email marketing, think of it this way, Opt-In customers are those who specifically request to receive emails, updates and newsletters from you.  Opt-Out is a feature provided in the email that allows your email recipient to remove themselves from that email list.  This is becoming standard practice in email marketing and many marketers now provide a Double Opt-In.  An example of Double Opt-In is when you have the customer land on a Squeeze Page, they sign up, then receive an email that requests them to link back for final approval to be placed on the list.

Now, Email marketing has become very popular because it generally costs much less than traditional mail marketing methods.  Targeted email marketing will not incur expensive and recurring printing or postage fees. This does not mean however, that email is free. A targeted email marketing campaign may actually incur a number of different kinds of fees.  Depending on your market, you may still want to keep or develop traditional mail marketing methods.

Email Design and Content

Target email market campaigns may require an artistically designed email layout with professional photography and creative copy to get a buying action. The company may contract a designer, a photographer, someone to write copy and oversee the email development and launch.  Full-time staff members for this type of work can be quite expensive.

Then, regular, systematic and useful content e mail marketing will help to maintain customers and prospects, and keep them coming back. The use of attractive, consistent and professional-looking email communications to stay in regular touch can build strong customer relationships.  On the other hand, I receive regular emails from some that are quite rudimentary in design and I never miss a read.  In those cases, their content trumps!

There is a myriad of legal issues tied to email marketing.  Anti-SPAM laws have been in effect for years and now the FTC has gotten their fingers in it.  Claims made in the content of emails are subject to scrutiny.

However, this marketing technique is still an extremely effective marketing tool and business hasn’t cast aside the idea of benefiting from its use. Email marketing can save the business thousands of dollars in advertising costs while maintaining good customer communication. Businesses can get the opportunity to reach many consumers that they may not otherwise reach.  The email recipient or customer is grateful for the knowledge and offers that email marketing advertisements provide them.

It is suggested to run above-board or White Hat email marketing campaigns at all times.  This will help keep your niche markets growing, customers happy and your niche business safe
